The Tor des Géants® 2014 ends for Francesca Canepa: after the acquisition of the official records of the checks carried out by the race officials, she has been disqualified today by the Jury of the race for not being transited at the control point of Les Goilles (Cogne). The Italian athlete, a native of Aosta Valley, has received in these minutes the notification of disqualification and is no longer a competitor of the 2014 edition of the Tor des Géants ®

After her arrival to the life base of Donnas, Francesca had been notified by the Comissioners of the race about the the initiation of a a disciplinary procedure for disqualification at her expense. Francesca Canepa had then abandoned the life base of Donnas
La web italiana skialper destapo el incidente donde se acuso a la corredora de haberla visto en coche acortando partes del trazado de la carrera subido a un coche. La organización dejo a la corredora en carrera mientras se investigaba el incidente pero finalmente Francesca decidió abandonar.
